The ReCreation Centre based on the Hamp Estate in Bridgwater offers a community building to all of the local residents.
The Centre is run by Les Riddle and host events from the regular children’s drop in club to cookery mornings.
The Project first got involved with Les and ReCreation in 2004 and partners were blown away with the enthusiasm and commitment shown by the Centre and it’s staff. Due to this genuine passion to help the local community the Green Ambassadors grew from strength to strength.Activities have included; green woodworking, camping, forest school skills, Exmoor pony visits, bird of prey displays, animal rescue centre visits and various day trips to rare breed farms, National Park and AONB sites.
The Centre is always looking for volunteers and support and if you feel you could give a little back please contact Les at the centre.
