What is Green Ambassadors?
Green Ambassadors is our flagship young persons programme that enables children (ages 5 – 16) to learn more about the natural world, explore and share their love for it, and feel inspired to safeguard it. By helping young people to experience the wonders of nature, and build an understanding of the connections between the environment and our everyday lives, we can inspire them to become informed and caring ‘green ambassadors’ for our planet, equipped to take action and spread the word.
READY, SET, GO…
INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION
We provide a range of interactive and educational resources that enable young people to explore the nature around them, to find out about environments far away, to understand and embrace the need to care about – and for it – all.
Why we work with young people.
WWF has a clear mission to care for the world around us. For over 30 years, we’ve been working with schools, youth groups and their communities to inspire young people to make positive choices for a more sustainable future.
We believe that each and every one of us has a responsibility to help children explore the nature around them, to find out about environments far away, to understand and embrace the need to care about and for it all. Through our work with young people, we’re aiming to inspire a new generation of sustainability champions – Green Ambassadors – and help them to make positive choices for a brighter future for our planet.
Our work with schools and youth groups inspires and supports young people to build their knowledge and understanding, develop their skills, and explore their values so they’re excited and able to enjoy and care for our beautiful planet, now and in the future.
