In Year 6 we have been researching global warming and the threats to penguins.

For our Christmas assembly we raised awareness by presenting startling facts about the dangers to penguins. During the assembly we shared facts about: warming oceans; penguins losing critical food and illegal egg harvesting. We also performed the Penguin Shake from the film Madagascar, which we all really enjoyed.

In class, we have made origami penguins and written facts about emperor penguins on the back. We have made penguins for Christmas decoration, this will always remind us to think about the dangers faced by penguins and to reduce our plastic usage.

To support WWF (World Wildlife Fund) we have raised a staggering £267.35. We are hoping to adopt two penguins with the funds we have raised.
