Create a butterfly friendly area in your garden!
This is an easy spring time activity for children of all ages that can support your environment and create a friendly area in your garden for these beautiful winged insects. Warmth, bright colours and sweet smells will attract butterflies into your gardens, school grounds or community gardens.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
We aim to use as much natural and recycled materials in all of our activities. To make your beautiful butterfly feeder, you’ll need:
- A bamboo cane
- A recycled bottle top
- Some recycled wrapping paper
- A laminator
- A tack/drawing pin or similar
- Cotton wool
- Sugar and water syrup
- Blue tack
